Spandan-Aravali Prof. Ishwar Dayal Memorial Lectures

Prof. Ishwar Dayal, part of the initial faculty of IIM Ahmedabad after it was set up in the year 1961 and Founding Director of IIM Lucknow when it was established in the year 1984, passed away on 24 March 2015 at the age of around 90 years. Prof. Dayal was also Chairman, Advisory Council of Spandan Foundation for Human Values in Management & Society (founded by Prof. G. P. Rao, formerly of IIM Calcutta) since its inception in the year 2001. After the passing away of Prof. Ishwar Dayal, Spandan Foundation and Aravali Institute of Management decided to jointly organize Spandan-Aravali Prof. Ishwar Dayal Memorial Lecture every year around the date of his birth, that is, 12 November.

So far the following lectures have been organized :

By Mr. Rajendra Singh, Magsaysay Awardee, Waterman of India and Awardee of Stockholm Water Prize 2015 (also known as the Nobel Prize for Water), on "Challenges for the Future of Humanity" on 14 November 2015 in Seminar Hall of IIT Delhi.

Swami Om Poorna Swatantra, Founder & Mentor, New World Movement, was the Guest of Honour and Prof. Abad Ahmad, Chairman, Aga Khan Foundation - India, Presided.

2nd Spandan-Aravali Prof. Ishwar Dayal Memorial Lecture
